PREMIUM SILAWRAP ULTRA SILAGE WRAP – 5 LAYER

Our new generational film is designed specifically for all high speed wrapping machines and increasing bale weights. Silawrap Ultra is produced on a new state of the art extruder, and combines 20 blended resins to produce a premium quality, consistently performing, silage film. The resin combinations produce a film with even and consistent stretch, significantly increased puncture resistance and ease of application. Produced by Integrated Packaging, a world leader in the manufacture and supply of wrapping solutions for the agricultural market, Integrated Packaging was the first in the world to stretch wrap silage bales and also designed, manufactured and patented the world’s first bale wrapping machine in 1984

USAGE AND APPLICATION

Silage wrap is suitable for creating anaerobic conditions with Silage. Used for wrapping round and square bales on individual turntable wrappers, high speed satellite wrappers and tube line wrappers. Individual Round Bales: Flexible application, apply a minimum of 4 layers with 50% overlap using 55% prestretch or apply a minimum of 6 layers with 50% overlap using 75% pre-stretch. Individual Square Bales: Apply a minimum of 6 layers with 50% overlap, maximum pre-stretch 75%. Tubeline round and square bales: Apply a minimum of 6 layers maximum pre-stretch 75%. To extend film life beyond 12 months apply additional layers.

1. Made in Australia, for Australian Conditions

2. 5 Layer Co-Extruded Film with extra high tack levels for superior performance

3. Evenness of stretch to provide superior oxygen barrier properties supporting the fermentation process

4. Designed specifically for the heavy demands of High Speed Wrapping Machines

5. Manufactured from a special blend of high quality resins to maximise resistance to puncturing

6. 12 month guarantee against UV degradation.

FAQ’S What is so good about this new film?

Integrated Packaging, has been able to use their 35 years of manufacturing experience to develop a new silage film with exceptional film properties. The aim with any silage film is to create anaerobic conditions and preserve the stored fodder. Integrated Packaging has been able to combine brand new extrusion equipment with the latest resin technology to enhance the key components of a quality silage film.

Puncture resistance has increased significantly to reduce holing when wrapping stalky crops and damage during handling.

Film tack properties have also been improved to provide excellent bonding of the film layers making better anaerobic conditions. Using single sided tack does not leave a sticky residue on the outside of the bale.

Are 5 layers better than 3 layers?

Multiple film extrusion layers is not inherently stronger than 3 layers or even mono layer single films. Multiple layers allows blending of a combination of resins to provide the optimum film performance characteristics

Why is the best film for high speed wrapping machines?

High speed wrapping machines require a plastic that is pliable and has a low stretch force to tolerate the fast start up speeds and the rapid action of the automatic cutting and tying systems. Silawrap Ultra have been specifically designed for this type of application, and has the lowest stretch force of products in our range.

How is Silawrap Ultra best applied?

Application of Silawrap Ultra can be applied with different stretch ratios for individual wrapping of round bales. Using 75% pre-stretch apply a minimum of 6 layers with 50% film overlap Using 55% pre-stretch apply a minimum of 4 layers with 50% film overlap
